Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2 c sifted flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup coarsely chopped, pared apples
- 1 egg, slightly beaton
- 1 c milk
- 1/4 c butter, melted
- 1/3 c each of brown sugar, chopped pecans or walnuts,
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
Sift dry ingredients; add apples. Combine liquid ingredients and add, mixing just enough to moisten.
Turn into buttered muffin tins. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of muffins. Bake at 400 degree oven about 20 minutes, or until delicately browned.
Note: Do not use cupcake pappers as muffins will stick to them.
