Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 heaping cup of Crisco
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 or more ice cold water

Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients well until all flour is incorporated and looks like fine cornmeal (use pastry blender). Gradually add ice water until dough holds together. Divide into 2 balls. Can wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate before rolling if you like. Makes 1 double crust or 2 single crust pies.
