Ingredients
- 2 firm ripe Bosc Pears, halved lengthwise, cored
- 1/4 cups honey
- 2 tbs unsalted butter
- 3 tbs balsamic vinegar
- pepper
- 4 ounces Haystack Mountain goat cheese, in four pieces, room temperature
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven 400°. In the oven melt the butter in an 8 inch square glass baking dish, for 3 minutes. Arrange the pears, cut side down, in one layer in the butter. Roast for 20 minutes. Pour the vinegar over the pears and roast for a few minutes more. Transfer the pears, cut side down, to serving dishes. Add the cheese to the side of the dish. Spoon the baking juices over the pear.
