peanut butter blossoms with hershey kisses

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup of shortening
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons of milk
• 1 tsp of vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• granulated sugar
• Hershey's Kisses

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

Beat peanut butter and shortening in a large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and brown sugar, mix well. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to peanut butter mixture.
Shape into 1/2 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar, and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 5 to 6 minutes or until set. Immediately press kisses into center of cookie.
Remove and cool.
