Ingredients
- 1 cup split peas
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 3 cups water or vegetable broth
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tblsp butter
- 1 onion diced
- 1 1/2 tsp cumin
- 2 whole cloves
- salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Simmer slowly at least 4 hours in large soup pot.
