Breakfast Eggs in a Basket

Ingredients

  • 8 thick slices of Texas Toast Style Bread
  • 8 Tablespoons of Butter softened
  • 8 Eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Heat up a large griddle over medium heat
Spread butter evenly over one face of each slice of bread
Use a biscuit cutter to cut the center
out of each slice of bread(2.25 inch diameter)
Grill the bread and the hole you cut out, butter side down, inthe hot griddle for 2 minutes or until itjust starts to turn brown
drop a little utter in the hole of each slice of bread then carefully crack an egg into each hole. Besure not to break the yolks. Salt and Pepper lightly
When the eggs have cooked for 1 to 2 minutes carefully flip each one over without breaking the yolks or flinging raw egg goo all over the griddle.
also flip the cut out holes
Cook for another minute or so until the eggs are cooked the you like them
Serve with grilled bread and holes
with hash browns, sausage, ham or bacon
