Shrimp or Chicken Fra Diavolo

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp ; raw and peeled
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 small Onion ; diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic ; minced
  • 1 large can Whole tomatoes ; I used Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse and drain shrimp. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-low heat and add onion and garlic. Saute in oil for 5 minutes or until onion is transparent. Add red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute. Add tomatoes with juice and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, breaking up tomatoes with a fork.

Add shrimp and cook until shrimp turn pink. Garnish with parsley.
