Ingredients
- 1-1/2 c brown sugar
- 1-1/2 c water
- 1 c dlour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c milk
- 1 c chopped dateds
- 1/2 c chopped pecans

Step 1
Preheat oven 350*F. Combine brown sugar and water in small saucepan. Simmer until sugar is absorbed.
Pour into 11x9x2 inch or 13x9x2 inch glass baking dish. Set aside.
In large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt and sugar until well mixed. Add milk, whisking until smooth. Stir in dates and pecans.
Pour mixture into syrup; do not stir.
Bake 30-35 min.
