Swedish Kringle

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 Tb water
  • Mix like piecrust and shape into 2 long 3 inch wide strips on cookie sheet.
  • Filling:
  • Boil 1 cup water and 1/2 c butter. Add 1 c flour all at once. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add 1 tsp almond extract. Spread over crusts.
  • Bake 350 for 55 min.

Preparation

Step 1

Frost with:

1 c pwd sugar
1 Tb butter
1/2 tsp almond extract
Add enough milk to spread.
