Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teasp. black Pepper
  • 1 teasp. finely chopped fresh maroram &
  • thyme.
  • 2 teasp.chopped chives
  • 1/4 teasp. Cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

In med bowl combine dry ingredients. Stir in cheese thenbutter; mix throughly. Slowly drizzle in buttermilk, Stirring until mixture holds together.

2.Turn dough onto floured board. Roll into log about 2 inches. Wrap in plastic and chil until firm.

3Cut log into 1/8 inch slices and place on lightly greased cookie sheet or plain parchment paper.

4. Bake 350 for 12 minutes or until light brown. Store into airtight container. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
