Ingredients

  • 1

    cup Flour

  • cup Cornmeal

  • teaspoon Salt

  • 1

    teasp. black Pepper

  • 1

    teasp. finely chopped fresh maroram &

  • thyme.

  • 2

    teasp.chopped chives

  • ¼

    teasp. Cayenne pepper

  • 2

    cups cheddar cheese

  • ¾

    stick unsalted butter

  • 1

    cup buttermilk

Directions

In med bowl combine dry ingredients. Stir in cheese thenbutter; mix throughly. Slowly drizzle in buttermilk, Stirring until mixture holds together. 2.Turn dough onto floured board. Roll into log about 2 inches. Wrap in plastic and chil until firm. 3Cut log into 1/8 inch slices and place on lightly greased cookie sheet or plain parchment paper. 4. Bake 350 for 12 minutes or until light brown. Store into airtight container. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
