Taffy Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lg can pineapple chunks
  • 2 c mini marshmallows
  • 1-1/2 c salted peanuts
  • 2 c diced, unpeeled apples
  • 1 lg container of Cool Whip
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 well beaten egg
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp white vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Day Before:

Mix together drained pineapple (reserve liquid) and marshmallows. Refrigerate. In a sauce pan, mix flour, pineapple juice, sugar, vinegar and egg. Cook until thick, refrigerate overnight.

Next Day:

Mix Cool Whip, sauce and remaining ingredients and refrigerate until serving.
