Ingredients
- Bar:
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. peppermint flavoring
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Frosting:
- 2 T. soft butter
- 1 c. confectioner’s sugar
- 1 T cream
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint flavoring
- 2-3 drops green food coloring
- Glaze:
- 1-1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 2 T. butter

Step 1
To make bar, melt chocolate and butter together in a heavy saucepan over low heat or in the top of a double boiler. Combine with the rest of the bar ingredients and bake in a greased 9 inch square pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool completely. Mix frosting ingredients and spread on cooled bars. Melt glaze ingredients together and dribble over green frosting. Spread carefully. Refrigerate and cut into bars when cold. Store in refrigerator.
Note: Recipe may be doubled and baked in a 9 x 13 inch pan for 25 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of pan). These freeze well.
