Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs round steak, ground
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 cup stewed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried mint
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 3 eggs
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a saucepan brown meat with canola oil. Add green pepper, onion, garlic, rice, tomatoes and seasonings. Saute for 5 minutes
2. Add water and mix well. Pour into baking dish.
3. Beat eggs well and stir in lemon juice. Pour over meat mixture.
4. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
