Ingredients
- 5 - 6 medium apples, peeled and diced (Granny Smith, Gala, or Winesap work best)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Place apples and cranberries in a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Mix in sugar. In a sauce pan, melt the butter. Add oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, and nuts. Mix together and spread on top of apples and cranberries. Bake covered for 1 hour.
This is excellent served with meats, but can also be served as a dessert.
