Vegetables: Bourbon Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 large cans (Martindale no. 2 1/2) sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T milk
  • 4 oz bourbon

Preparation

Step 1

Heat potatoes in juice, drain and mash well. Add all other ingredients and beat til light and fluffy. Pour into buttered casserole dish. Top with marshmallows.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

Alternative topping
Mix brown sugar, flour, pecans and melted butter until crumbly and spread on top.
