Ginger Snaps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Butter
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 2 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1 t. cloves
  • 1 t. ginger

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together shortening, molasses, sugar and egg. Mix in remaining ingredients. Beat well.

Chill 1 hour or overnight. Roll into 1 inch balls. Then roll in sugar. Place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375* for 8 to 10 minutes.
