German Hamburger Noodle Hotdish

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Sugar
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 16 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 1 c. Sour Cream
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 8 to 12 oz. Very fine noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Simmer first 5 ingredients for 15 min. Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, & onion to make a creamy sauce. Place in layers in a 2 qt. Casserole, beginning with noodles; then meat mixture; then sauce. Repeat layers & top iwht cheddar cheese. Cover & let set overnight in fridge. Take out of fridge about 3 hrs. before cooking. Bake at 350º for about 30 min.. Usually takes longer.
