Christmas Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Suet
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 cup Raisins and/or currents, citron or nuts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • Ginger ; just a little bit
  • ~~ -- Hard Sauce -- ~~
  • Confectioners Sugar
  • Butter
  • Vanilla ; just a little

Preparation

Step 1

Mix ingredients together. Wet 21 inch square of unbleached muslin. Sprinkle cloth with flour. Place pudding in center and tie - leave air space at top.

Steam for 3 hours.

Remove from muslin. Pour brandy over it and light!

Serve with hard sauce.
