Glenda's Baked Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups stewing beef
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 7 1/2 oz. tin tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups chopped turnip
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a large roasting pan, spread stew beef on bottom. Sprinkle with flour. Add remaining ingredients.

Cook with lid on at 325 degrees for 3 hours, stirring every hour or so.
