Microwave Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, flour, cocoa and salt together. Then add the milk. Put into a large microwave bowl and cook until slightly thickened, stirring often. I usually stir every 2 minutes until it thickens. Take some of the hot mixture and mix into the eggs and stir. Then pour egg mixture back into the rest of the mixture. Cook for another minute. Add butter and vanilla and stir. Pour into a baked 10 inch pie shell. Chill and when ready to serve put Whip Topping on it since Mandy is allergic to meringue.
