Ingredients
- 2 c seasoned croutons
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz)
- 4 eggs
- 2 c milk
- 1 t yellow mustard
- Dash ground black pepper
- 4 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
- Crisp-cooked bacon (optional
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325*. Grease a 2-qt square baking dish. In prepared baking dish combine croutons and cheese. Set aside. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, mustard, and pepper; beat until combined. Pour egg mixture over croutons. Sprinkle with the crumbled bacon.
Bake about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted off center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkled top with additional crumbled bacon.
