  • 4 pork loin chops (1" thick) well trimmed
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

1. In skillet, brown pork chops quickly; drain well.

2. Arrange a layer of sliced apples in crockpot, then a layer of pork chops; repeat. Dot with butter; sprinkle with nutmeg. Add salt and pepper.

3. Cover and cook on low setting 6 to 8 hours.
