Granola Bars

Marla's soft granola bar recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut

Preparation

Step 1

In large bown, combine oats, sugar and wheat germ; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in corn syrup and honey; mix well until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and coconut.

Press into a greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Let cool for 10 minutes, then cut into bars.
