Citrus-Caramel Poached Pears

  • 2 pears, peeled
  • 1 1/2 cups- orange juice and zest (5 oranges)
  • 1/3 cup-sugar
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 oz- orange flavored liquor

Preparation time 5mins
Cooking time 50mins


Step 1

1. In a saucepan, combine pears, orange juice, sugar, and cinnamon stick
2. Cover and cook on low until fork tender (30 min)
3. Remove pears and reduce liquid over medium high heat until syrupy (12 min)
4. Remove from heat and add liquor
5. Drizzle over pears and garnish with zest
