Ingredients
- 3 qts. water
- 4 lbs. pork ribs, cut into
- serving-size portions
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 T. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 t. dry mustard
- 1/8 t. garlic powder
- 1/8 t. cayenne pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a large stockpot. Add ribs, onion, salt and pepper. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours.
Meanwhile, combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for one hour, stirring frequently. Remove ribs from pot; drain. Grill ribs for 10 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with vinegar mixture, until tender.
Serves 4 to 6.
