Ingredients
- TOPPING:
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cold butter

Step 1
1. In a small bowl, beat butter, sugar and salt until crumbly. Add the egg, milk and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture. Transfer to a greased 8-in square dish.
2. For topping, in a small bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and cinnamon, cut in butter until mixture in crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
3. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Serve warm if desired. Yields: 9 servings.
