No Bake Mud Cake (With Worms)

Need a quick and easy dessert to make for a Halloween party? Give this no-bake cake a try! It's smooth, yet crunchy - just like real mud! And throwing some gummy worms gives it a realistic touch.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 8-ounce tub of whipped topping
  • 1 package of chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Treats to decorate cake (gummy worms/bugs)

Preparation

Step 1

Put cookies into a large zip-lock style plastic bag and crush them either with your fists or with a rolling pin.

In a large bowl, mix the two packages of pudding mix with the milk. Refrigerate for about 5 minutes.

Mix the whipped topping into the pudding.

Then add half of the crushed cookies and mix it all up.

Spread mixture into a 13x9 pan.

Sprinkle the rest of the crushed cookies over top.

Refrigerate for at least an hour.

Decorate cake with gummy worms and bugs.

Options: Layer the mud and dirt in individual pudding cups instead of one large dish.
