Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup soy flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 cups hot applesauce
- 1 cup chopped, pitted dates
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together flours, baking powder, spices and salt. Mix together eggs, honey, oil and applesauce; add to flour mixture. Stir in dates and nuts. Pour batter into oiled 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 F for 50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and frost right in pan.
