tbl Southern Swiss Butter
apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
tbl brown sugar
cup dried cranberries
Heat butter in a large skillet until bubbling. Add the sliced apples and stir, cooking for 5-7 minutes until the apples are mostly tender. Add the water, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, cranberries and mix well, continuing to cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the liquid has thickened slightly. Remove from heat and serve immediately. Optionally you can garnish with fresh orange zest and cinnamon sticks for a rustic presentation.
