Blueberry Butter

Ingredients

  • 8 cups fresh or dry pack frozen blueberries, rinsed and drained
  • 8 large green cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp ground mace
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook until mixture is thick. Spoon hot mixture into sterilized glasses. Seal and cool. Store jars in a cool, dry place.
