Ingredients
- 1 pound tofu, frozen, thawed, and drained
- 1 cup unbleached flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dried dill weed
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 dashes hot sauce
- Oil for frying
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch cubes or slices. Combine the flour with the seasonings. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, and add the milk and hot sauce. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet. Dip the tofu in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and again in the flour. Fry until browned, about 3 minutes on each side.
