Ingredients
- 2 medium acorn squash
- 2 Golden Delicious apples, or any other baking variety
- 1/4 cup white wine or water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons ground almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Put about 1 inch of water in a baking dish. Set aside.
Wash the acorn squash and cut them in half. Scoop out the seeds and slice a thin piece off of the bottom of each half, being careful not to make a hole in the squash. (This slice will give the squash a flat base so it will sit upright in the baking dish.) Place the squash in the baking dish and set aside.
