Ingredients
- 2 servings
- 1/4 cup Thai Jasmine Rice
- 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 green onion, halved
- 1 1" piece of peeled ginger
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 2 - 3 tsp. Pot Sticker sauce
Preparation
Step 1
* Place rice in small sieve in a pot of water and rinse well with your fingers until the water turns milky. Drain and rinse again under cold running water.
* Put rice in a small non-stick pot with the broth, onion and ginger.
* Bring to the boil, cover and cook at a low simmer for 1 3/4 to 2 hours.
* Remove the onion and garlic and serve in a bowl with a few squirts of Pot Sticker sauce and a pinch of Malden salt.
* Leftovers can be rewarmed slowly in a non-stick pot, adding a couple of tablespoons more chicken broth, if needed, and taste just as good the second time around.
* You can add chicken or fish or meat and vegetables to the finished product for more of a meal (when you aren't nursing dental implants) look it up.
