Ingredients
- 1 C Coarsely chopped toasted almonds
- 1 C Butter
- 1 1/3 C Sugar
- 1 T Karo Syrup (light)
- 2 T Water
- 1-2 Chocolate Hershey bars

Step 1
Spread almonds in shallow pan and toast in a 350 degree oven. Melt butter in heavy pan, add sugar, water and syrup . Cook stirring occasionally to the hard crack stage (300 degrees) Watch carefully after candy reaches 280 degrees. Quickly stir in toasted almonds. Spread ini ungreased METAL 9x13 inch pan. Cool thoroughly.
Turn onto waxed paper and spread with a thin coating of melted chocolate. After chocolate sets up break into pieces.
Suggestion: I used Hersheys (a sweet chocolate). Melt over hot water
