Blueberry Syrup

Try this over pancakes, waffles or French toast - not to mention ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • Dash cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Combine berries, sugar, corn syrup, water and lemon juice in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and gently boil, stirring occasionally, until berries pop and syrup is slightly thickened, about 20 minutes. Stir in cinnamon and set aside to cool. Serve at room temperature.
