Pecan Pralines

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 dash of salt1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp white Karo syrup2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla1 1/2 cup pecan halves

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the sugar, salt, mlik and Karo syrup in a heavy 3 quart pan.
Cook to a soft ball stage. Remove from heat.

Add in butter and vanilla. Beat until cool. Add pecans and
drop by a tablespoon onto wax paper. When firm, store in a
closed container. Makes about 2 dozen.
