Ingredients

  • 1 (14 0z.) can (1 1/4 cups) sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 oz. bitter chocolate, chopped
  • 5 oz. semisweet baking chocolate, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Prepare two 8 ounce glass jars with matching plastic lids.
2.Combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, heavy cream, salt and vanilla in a heavy-bottom saucepan. Heat on medium, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until little bubbles form around the edges.
3. Remove from heat, add bitter chocolate and semisweet chocolate, and stir until smooth.
4. Pour hot fudge sauce into glass jars and let cool. Cover with plastic lids and store in the refrigerator. Before serving, warm in microwave at 30 second intervals on low until sauce is warm enough to pour.
Serve over ice cream or with cake, pie or pudding.
