Gingerbread Men for the Holidays

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour blend
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup orange puree

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour blend, baking soda, salt, ground ginger, and cinnamon, and set aside.
In another mixing bowl, whisk the oil, sugar, molasses, and Orange puree. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well (using your hands) until a moist dough forms. Add a tbsp or two of water as needed. Remove dough from bowl and shape into a ball. Wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper.
When ready to bake the cookies, remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a lightly floured surgace ( or between 2 sheets parchement paper) to about 1/8 in thickness. Cut out the dough using gingerbread cookie cutters. Place cookies on prepared baking sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before decorating.
Store the cookies in airtight container at room temp.
