Oatmeal Scotchies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats, uncooked
  • 1 12oz pkg (2 cups) Butterscotch morsels
  • 1 / teaspoon orange extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, eggs and water; beat until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats, butterscotch morsels and orange extract. Drop by slightly rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
