Ingredients

  • Flavoring of your choice - some of the possibilities include (try one or more!):
  • 1 cup soy milk, hemp milk, or other milk / milk alternative (Plain HempMilk has the creamiest consistency and healthy omega-3s to boot)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa (unsweetened powder, the kind you use for baking)
  • 1 1/2 tsp agave nectar
  • Classic: 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract and a sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Peppermint: the tiniest dab of peppermint extract (that's strong stuff) stirred in at the end
  • Coconut: a dab of coconut extract (I bet you could even use lite coconut milk as your milk base)
  • Any other ideas??

Preparation

Step 1

Heat milk of choice in a small saucepan over medium-low heat (yes, the stove is the best way for this one). Once starting to warm, whisk in cocoa and agave until well combined. At the end, stir in the flavoring combination of your choice. Serve!
