Clever Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 1/3 cup store bought teriyaki sauce, low sodium
  • 1/3 cup white puree
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • optional extra boost: 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken to skillet and saute until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. While chicken is cooking, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, White puree, and honey. Add teriyaki sauce mixture, green onions, and pineapple chunks, if using, to skillet and toss to coat the chicken. Cook for another 2 minutes. Serve over brown rice or noodles.
