Gluten-Free Spice Cake

By

A mix of seasonal spices fills this cake with mouth-watering flavor.

Gluten-free baking may seem like an oxymoron, but it's not! With numerous gluten-free flours on the market, treats can easily be whipped up for those with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Just in time for the holidays, we're sharing recipes with such tender, tasty results, you'd never know they're gluten-free!

Keep in mind: Ingredient formulas and production facilities vary among brands. If you're concerned that your brand may contain gluten, contact the company.

Gluten-free dough and batter are typically moister. Don't be tempted to add more flour - it can result in a tough product.

Simply substituting gluten-free flours in your favorite baking recipes usually will not work. Instead, try recipes that are specifically formulated to be gluten-free.

Try to use a combination of gluten-free flours in any recipe you're working with.

Gluten-free baked goods tend to taste best warm.

Keep gluten-free flours in the freezer in a resealable plastic freezer bag to maintain quality. Be sure to let the flour come to room temperature before using it.
