  • 1/4 cup minced onion 1 garlic clove, minced Butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained Salt and pepper to taste



Step 1

Saute onions and garlic briefly in butter. Blend in flour, then add beef broth, sour cream, and capers. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper as desired.
Note: This is good with beef, lamb, or pork. For lamb, you can substi-tute lamb broth, if available. For chicken, substitute chicken broth for the beef broth.

Yield: 8 servings.
