Cranberry Bars

Ingredients
- 2 pkg (12 oz) cranberries, rinsed
- 2 C sugar
- 1 1/2 C water
- 2 pkg yellow cake mix
- 1 1/2 C butter, melted
- 2 C oats
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 C brown sugar
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon

Step 1
1. In saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, white sugar and water. Cook stirring occasionally until all cranberries have popped and mixture is thick about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl, mix together cake mix, melted butter and eggs. Stir in oats, brown sugar, ginger and cinnamon. Set aside about 3 C of mixture and spread rest over the bottom of two 9x13 pans. Pack down to form a solid crust. Spread cooled cranberry mixture over crust. Crumble remaining cake mixture over cranberry layer.
3. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until top is lightly browned. Cool in pans before slicing.
