Rosettes

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg slightly - add other ingredients and beat till smooth. Heat 3-4" oil in small saucepan to 400. Turn heat down to about medium to maintain temperature. Heat rosette iron in oil. Tap excess oil from iron and dip in batter till 2/3 covered. Fry to golden brown. Drain excess oil and place on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
