Ingredients
- 1 . Double box of Stovetop Dressing
- 2 . Loaf of Bread (torn into pieces)
- 3 . 2 eggs
- 4 . Green pepper. to taste
- 5 . Salt, to taste (approx. 2 tsp.)
- 6 . Pepper, to taste
- 7 . Chicken boullion (6 cubes)
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large bowl. combine Stovetop, bread, eggs, salt, pepper, & green pepper.
2. Dissolve boullion cubes in about 4 cups of boiling water & pour over bread mixture. Stir. Pour a little more boiling water over mixture if needed to ensure it is good & soupy.
3. Spray the inside of a roasting pan well with Pam & pour dressing into the pan.
4. Wash the turkey well inside & out, removing giblets if necessary (usually located in two places) & setting them aside.
5. Place turkey on top of dressing & season well.
6. Bake at 425* for the first hour, then reduce heat to 375* for a total of 4 to 6 hours, depending of the size of the turkey (approximately 20 minutes per lb.)(Never bake under 325*)
7. Uncover for the last 1/2 hour of baking to brown.
