1 (18 3/4 oz) box German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz) package caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare cake mix according to directions using butter instead of oil. Bake 1/2 of batter in 9x13 inch pan in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.

In a pan, melt caramels and evaporated milk. Pour over cake; add chocolate chips and nuts.

Cover with remaining batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
