Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cups Butter, unsalted ( 3 sticks )
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1/5 Cup Honey
  • 2 Eggs, large
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 5.5 Cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2.5 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • Milk and Sugar for dipping

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375`. Have on hand two ungreased cookie sheets, or line them with parchment. ( I used my Silpat )

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar and honey together, beat in the eggs, one at a time, scraping the bowl in between additions. Beat in the vanilla extract.

Whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Add to the wet ingredients, mixing until thoroughly combined.

Chill the dough for 2 hours, then scoop by the TBSP into balls. Dip one side in the milk & then in the sugar. Place the cookies on the baking sheet with 2 inches between each cookie. Sugar side up.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, cool briefly before transferring them to wire racks.
