Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast halves, cooked and deboned
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 ribs celery chopped
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 1 small potato chopped
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 6 tablespoons plain flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • Biscuits

Step 1

Boil chicken in enough water to cover until done - about one hour. When cool, remove meat from the bone and chop in bite-size pieces. Chop vegetables into small pieces and boil in a small amount of water about 10 minutes. They should be tender, but not completely done. Drain.

Make sauce by melting butter and adding flour until it is mixed. Gradually add milk, stirring contantly so the sauce will not lump. Add boillon cubes, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Mix chicken, vegetables, and sauce and pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Top with biscuits.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes until the casserold is bubbly and and biscuites are brown.
